1. Hero paramedic
Simes said: “You read these days of a few cases where sepsis hasn’t been diagnosed (mainly, to be fair, via the telephone which is probably not easy anyway) and the dire consequences.
“So well done to Berwyn and the Ambulance Service. And glad Rhian is recovering well too.”
A mum-of-three had thanks the paramedic who helped save her life after she contracted sepsis during her daughter’s birthday party.
2. Too many chances?
Priscilla4 commented: “Throw the key away. This female was given more chances than she deserved and why? Because she was a single mother? Would a single man have received the same lenient treatment by the courts?
“No he wouldn’t. A criminal is a criminal and she should have been jailed the first time. What would have happened had she caused a road traffic fatality when she was drug driving?”
A single mum of three who “threw away her chances” after being given two suspended prison sentences was jailed this week.
3. Parking on the Maes
DylanCOFI said: “I remember the good old days on the Maes. A clear road going through a buzzing market and definitely no cars parked in the middle of the Maes. Yes, the Maes looks lovely and modern these days but the big downfall is the fact that cars don’t know which way to go and why park in the middle of a lovely square.
“Sitting outside Caffi Maes on a sunny day or a pint outisde Y Castell looking at a dozen cars? Don’t think so! There’s no excuse not to park in a car park, after all there are quite a few in town.”
Dozens of motorists flouted a parking ban and left their cars on the Maes in Caernarfon.
4. ‘Bonkers’ double yellow lines for Newborough
Mon9791 commented: “I’ve lived in Newborough all my life, and in all that time I have never seen a traffic warden there. So to change the parking times from 30 minutes to 20 is pointless. Also putting double yellow lines down again is pointless unless they’ll be enforced.
“Yes there is a need to sort out the traffic in the village. What is the answer, I’m not sure, but spending money on yellow lines isn’t the answer, unless they are enforced. If wardens do come then it will work.”
A “bonkers” plan to extend parking restrictions in Newborough has angered residents and visitors.
Anglesey Council has posted notices in Newborough outlining the proposals to reduce parking time in the main street, putting double yellow lines outside the community hall and selling the only car park in the village.
