Huge haul of cannabis plants found during Denbigh police raids

Almost 150 cannabis plants were seized by police after a raid near Denbigh last night.

North Wales Police executed a search warrant at an isolated property in Saron.

During the search, officers found a total of 148 mature cannabis plants and a considerable amount of drug cultivation equipment inside four purpose-built nurseries within the building.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

The scene was has been forensically examined and police enquiries continue.

Inspector Glen Brumby based at Denbigh Police Station said: “This event serves to remind all members of the public to be aware that isolated, rural properties are being targeted by criminals to utilise the buildings for the production of cannabis.

“If you have any suspicions that a property is being used in such a manner, even if it is a property you own, please contact North Wales Police on 101.”
