Elderly man trapped under quad bike in Wrexham is taken to hospital
An elderly man has been taken to hospital after becoming trapped under a quad bike following a crash.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the incident on Cristionydd Lane, Penycae, Wrexham, at 12.15pm today.
The man is understood to have fallen from the vehicle and become wedged underneath it.
The Wales Air Ambulance was also tasked to the scene however it was not needed.
He was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital by road ambulance in a stable condition.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at about 12.15pm to reports of a man trapped under a vehicle in Penycae, Wrexham.
“The Wales Air Ambulance and a crew in an emergency ambulance attended and an elderly man was taken by road to Wrexham Maelor Hospital in a stable condition.”
North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed they attended the scene.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12.19pm. The call came in as a road traffic collision with a person trapped.
“It involved a quad bike.”
