Armed police raid house in Rhyl
Armed police swooped on a house in south east Rhyl and cordoned it off.
The property on the Maes y Gog estate was raided early on Sunday morning.
A local resident said three armed response vehicles came to the property sometime before 8.15am.
A police Transit van also turned up at about 8.30am according to witnesses.
North Wales Police have not yet released any details regarding the operation or if any arrests have been made.
But officers are still guarding the outside of the property, which is surrounded by police tape.
The resident who did not want to identified, said: “About 8.15am there was an X5 armed response vehicle outside the house.
“It looked like they had someone there. Around 10 minutes later more armed coppers turned up and a Ford Transit Connect.”
The resident said three police officers appeared to be searching a cut – through between the estate and the nearby New Pines Caravan Park.
“They were looking for something,” added the eyewitness. “They all dispersed but the police transit has stayed and the house is still cordoned off.”
North Wales Police declined to comment on the incident.
