Baby scalded by pot of hot tea at Anglesey Vintage Rally
A baby was taken to hospital with suspected burns after they were scalded by a pot of hot tea at the Anglesey’ Vintage Rally.
The accident took place this afternoon at the festival which is being held at the Mona Showground.
According to an eyewitness the 10-month-old was scalded after a table containing a pot of hot tea had been knocked over, spilling the hot liquid on to the child.
An air ambulance landed but the baby was taken by land ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

A spokesman for the rally organisers confirmed that the baby was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
He said: “We’re pleased that the baby’s back at home with their family on Anglesey, and not badly hurt.
“We understand they were taken to hospital just to be on the safe side, but the incident was just an accident.”
A spokesperson for the Wales Ambulance Service confirmed that the air ambulance had been called to assist, but were not required to take the child to hospital.
The two day vintage rally attracted thousands of visitors to Mona Showground, near Gwalchmai, now in its 39th year.
Many of the exhibits had travelled long distances to be at the rally, also including a funfair, trade stands and displays by a motorcycle stunt team and wood carvers.
