Barbecue Bank Holiday for North Wales as temperatures to soar to 21C

The Bank Holiday weekend looks set to be one of the warmest of the year so far, with temperatures hitting 21C.

Next Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be warm and dry but the outlook is more unsettled later into Sunday and through to the Bank Holiday Monday.

Most places across the region will see highs of 20C which is on a par with some European hotspots such as Nice in the south of France.

The temperatures will drop to a low of 13C on Sunday with showers showers possible.

The more unsettled weather will continue into next Monday but temperatures will still be as high as 18C.

Forecaster Amy Hodgson, of The Weather Channel, said: “As we go into next week, temperatures across the UK are forecast to increase to slightly above normal for the time of year due to a milder southerly flow.”

But by Sunday, the mercury will begin to make way for slightly cooler numbers and weather conditions.

She added: “Looking further ahead towards next weekend, low pressure is expected to be located over the west of the Atlantic, bringing unsettled conditions across the UK.”
