Boat owners warned after thieves target Conwy harbours
Large amounts of marine equipment have been stolen from harbours in Rhos-on-Sea and Conwy .
Police have urged boat owners to secure their equipment following a spate of thefts.
During the past three months, three outboard motors have been stolen off boats, together with numerous items of equipment from fishing boats.
David Williams, from North Wales Police , said: “We are appealing to boat owners to take all possible steps to secure their marine equipment, and to ensure that the equipment is easily identifiable.
“It’s not just owners though: we are also asking the public or anyone who lives close to harbours, boatyards or marinas to report any suspicious activity.”
Anyone who may have witnessed the incidents in Rhos-on-Sea or Conwy is asked to call North Wales Police on 101.
