Book of condolence opened for murdered Kinmel Bay mum Tracy Kearns
A book of condolence has been opened at the store where murdered Tracy Kearns once worked.
Former colleagues of the 43-year-old have paid tribute to the mum-of-two, who was manager of several departments during her time at the Asda supermarket in Kinmel Bay .
The book has been signed by colleagues and customers, upon whom she left a lasting impression despite leaving in 2014.
The Daily Post understands she latterly worked at the Sandy Cove Club in the town.
Tracy’s partner, Anthony Bird will go on trial in November accused of murdering her at the home they shared in Cader Avenue, Kinmel Bay.
Her body was found nearby on May 13, six days after she was reported missing.
A former Asda colleague and friend told the Daily Post: “Tracy was a devoted mother, loyal friend, great manager, talented darts player, passionate Welsh rugby supporter and so much more.
“She touched many lives and was always ready with a listening ear.
“Her passion for life and fantastic sense of humour made her many friends, and I am glad to count myself among them.
“Tracy will be missed more than could ever be put into words.”
Another work friend said: “I just want to say what an amazing funny caring lady Tracy was.
“She always was a family lady and would do anything for her kids.
“When I worked with her, she always had time for a chat or to help you with any issues you had, you will be missed Tracy, RIP.”
A crowdfunding page has been set up by Tracy’s family to help support her two young daughters.
A target has been set at £1,500 and so far, more than £500 has been pledged.
The page states: “A wonderful mother. A fabulous daughter. An amazing friend.
“Tracy was always laughing and always making you laugh.
“She was the life and soul of any party and boy could she party.
“She was one of life’s hard workers who would give you her last pound.
“She would drop what she was doing and would be with you in a heartbeat if she thought you needed her and you never needed to ask.
“But Tracy has been taken from us too soon under tragic circumstances.”
It added: “Her community wants to help and have asked for this page. Strangers want to help and want this page. All monies donated will go to help the children settle into a new life and rebuild what they have lost. Thank you.”
