Whenever hearing about a celebrity’s baby name, you’re almost certain it’s a unique and truly original one. Celebrities like to have weird baby names for their children and that’s a fact. It is not always easy to find or even come up with some unique baby names, but celebrities somehow always find the strength to do so.
For them, finding the perfect name for their baby is a long process in which they search and research, ascribe and create unique and really weird names, that maybe we, the “common” people would probably never choose for our little ones.
For example, who would choose Piper as a name for their baby girl? Not us for sure, but Gillian Anderson, the famous actress did. Next, we have Tony Braxton, a famous rhythm and blues singer who named her two sons Denim and Diesel, after the famous designer jeans brands. Apparently she’s a big fan of jeans…
Singers have an odd sense of humor apparently, since another famous singer Cher, named her daughter Chastity. Well, admittedly it’s not THAT weird a name, but it’s definitely a unique one; the origin of this name is Latin and it means ‘pure’ or ‘purity’. The daughter of a famous couple these days (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, known as TomKat in the media) is called Suri. The name’s origin is Persian and it means ‘red rose’. Quite nice actually.
Next on the list is a one of a kind, original and truly…unexpected name: Moxie Crime Fighter. The name belongs to the daughter of famous comedian Emily Jillette and not-quite-so-famous magician Penn Jillette. There is more were this came from! Reality TV stars such as David Puck Rainey and Betty Rainey named their sons Bogart Che Peyote and Rocco Kokopelli. Bogart is a German name and it means ‘bowstring’. A more familiar or common form for Che is Chepe or Chepito which is a Spanish name. Rocco is an Italian name and it means ‘rock’ and Kokopelli… well, we don’t have an explanation for this name; it is way too weird and crazy!
Olympia Scott-Richardson is a famous basketball player who named her daughter Bre Azia Ranee. Also, Sylvester Stallone, the famous star from the Rocky series and several other action movies named his daughter Sage Moonblood. Sage has Latin roots and it means ‘the wise one’. Moonblood means just that…but we really can’t explain how “Rocky” came up with it.
Who names his son Audio Science, by the way? It is outrageous and hilarious at the same time! Not for the actress Shannyn Sossamon apparently. She probably thought it is a perfect name for her daughter. Let’s see what she has to say when the girl goes to school and her teacher has to do a class call! And the list can go on and on with these strange, crazy and one of a kind celebrity baby names, but for now it is enough just to make you want to ask yourself “What will become of this world?”.
