Former Dallas star Charlene Tilton, who played the “Poison Dwarf” Lucy in the popular eighties soap, claimed that she was haunted by the ghost of her grandfather.
When she was very small, Charlene lived with her mother and grandfather in a small flat in Hollywood. She was only six years old when grandfather passed away, and was often on her own when her mother went out to work. One day, her mother came home to find Charlene crouching fearfully on the doorstep. Charlene told her mother that there was something “scary” in the flat. Instantly, her mother told her that her grandfather’s spirit was lingering there in the flat.
But Charlene’s supernatural experiences certainly didn’t end with her childhood, for as she grew up she was always conscious that her grandfather’s spirit was still lingering close to her.
One day, during her teenage years, a neighbour knocked on her door and asked her to turn down the radio, which was blaring out pop music. Charlene refused. Then strange things began to happen: the plug was yanked out of the wall by invisible hands, and when Charlene pushed it back into the socket, it was pulled out again, and so strongly that sparks flew. The neighbour just stood there, mouth agape in utter disbelief. Charlene knew it was her grandfather’s ghost again.
When Charlene left home to live in another part of Hollywood to start her career as an actress and model, she thought she had left the spirit behind. But when she went to live in a new apartment with her boyfriend, her lover started to complain that the place was “spooky.” Charlene herself noticed this strange atmosphere that permeated the place. There were cold spots in certain parts of the apartment, and doors would open and close of their own volition.
Finally, Charlene decided that she’d had enough of all this ghostly activity, and so she moved home again in the hope that the entity would get fed up of following her. As it turned out, once Charlene settled down in her new home overlooking a canyon, she had no more trouble with the ghost. It seemed – much to Charlene’s relief – that her grandfather’s spirit had finally found peace.
