Firefighters tackle gorse blaze near Caernarfon

Two fire crews are battling a gorse fire at Rhosgadfan near Caernarfon .

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire at 8.11pm today.

Shortly after 9pm a second crew were sent to the scene.

A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire is roughly 50 square metres of bracken and gorse”.

The smoke could be seen for miles before the sun came down at roughly 9.15pm.
