Heartless motorbike thieves leave Conwy teen 'devastated'
A teenager has been left “devastated” after his trial bikes worth £15,000 were stolen.
Katie Parkes said seven machines, belonging to her family were taken from a smallholding in Llysfaen.
Two of them were the “pride and joy” of her 15-year-old son, Blake White, who is “heartbroken.”
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which saw thieves gain access to an outbuilding through a dry stone wall.
Ms Parkes has circulated the appeal on social media and urged people to be on the look out on selling sites.
Speaking to the Daily Post, she said: “Blake is such a keen motorcyclist and having his motorbike stolen has left him utterly devastated.
“He has been distraught over and it is so sad to see the impact it has had him.
“These people have no idea of the affects their disgusting criminality has on their victims, particularly young people.
“They are all competition bikes and five are trial bikes with a collective value of around £15,000.
“It’s horrible seeing my son break his heart over this, he was due to take part in a trial competition this weekend and now he’s had to have to miss it.
“We are all old enough to deal with our loss, but to Blake, his two bikes were his pride and joy.”
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: “We received a call on April 16 reporting that an outbuilding had been broken into in Llysfaen and seven trial bikes were stolen.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident reference number RC17053581.
