Man accused of attacking prison officer appears in court
A man appeared in court today charged with attacking a custody officer.
Jordan James Lee Davidson, 25, is charged with committing grievous bodily harm (GBH) against James Moglione, at Altcourse Prison on April 5 this year.
Appearing by video link from Strangeways Prison, in Manchester, Davidson was also charged with carrying a knife in excess of 9cm on Brook Street, Wrexham, on March 19.
During a short hearing, and flanked by two prison officers, Davidson, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the GBH allegation and sent the case to be heard at Mold Crown Court on June 9.
Davidson declined to enter a plea regarding the charge of possessing a knife.
Magistrates also sent that charge to be dealt with at Mold Crown Court on the same date.
