Man accused of murdering partner Tracy Kearns appears in court
A man has appeared in court this morning charged with murdering his partner.
Anthony James Bird, 48 is accused of killing 43-year-old mum-of-two Tracy Kearns at the home they shared in Cader Avenue, Kinmel Bay some time between May 7 and May 11.
Tracy was reported missing after she last seen on Sunday, May 8.
Flanked by two prison guards in the dock at Llandudno Magistrates Court this morning, Bird, wearing a peach-coloured polo shirt, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the hearing, which lasted just over one minute and a half.
Family members were present during the brief proceedings.
District Judge, Gerallt Jones said: “The charge is such that it can only be dealt with in the crown court.”
No representations were made by defence solicitor, David Jones and no application for bail was made.
The case was sent to Mold Crown Court where Bird will appear again at 10am tomorrow morning.
