Old Colwyn clifftop apartment development gets underway
These flats are set to be built on a clifftop on the North Wales coastline.
Blue Bay Homes has already completed 10 three-storey homes on the former site of Hotel 70 Degrees in Old Colwyn.
Now they have started work to construct 29 two-bedroom apartments at the clifftop site, which would enjoy some of the best views in North Wales.
Director Gary Evans said: “This is a truly unique landscape, looking out onto panoramic views of this spectacular coastline and we take our responsibility seriously to be sympathetic to this environment.
“Equally importantly, this space holds historical and emotional significance in the heart and minds of local people.
“Working closely with Conwy Council and its planning department, we have completely redesigned the original outline plans for the site, collectively creating what we believe will become a benchmark for the creation of new coastline communities.
“We are delighted that others share our enthusiasm and our vision and are now beginning a new phase of their lives here with us in Colwyn Bay, enjoying the light, the space and, crucially, the clifftop views.”
The homes would start at £215,000.
As the company name would suggest, Blue Bay Homes specialises in creating high specification new homes with a sea view.
