RNLI rush to rescue three after kayak and catamaran capsize off Anglesey
RNLI volunteers rescued three people yesterday after a kayak and then a catamaran capsized.
The lifeboat crew from Trearddur Bay were called out twice in as many hours on Saturday afternoon and brought all three back safely to shore.
In the first incident a kayaker got into difficulties after their vessel overturned off Mackerel Rock, Porthdafarch at around 2.30pm.
Shortly afterwards the crew were called out again to a capsized catamaran with two people on board. Both were taken ashore but did not need medical assistance.
The Holyhead and Rhoscolyn coastguard rescue teams assisted in both operations.
