Shocking Rhyl attack leaves one man dead, three injured and seven arrested
A man has been stabbed to death and three other male injured during a “violent disturbance” in the small hours of Sunday morning in Rhyl.
The 37 year-old victim from Manchester was pronounced dead at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
According to unconfirmed reports the three other men were also from the Manchester area – their injuries were said by police not to be life-threatening.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Prince Edward Avenue at around 3am.
A 47 year-old man and two male youths, one aged 16 and one 15, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody in Wrexham.

Four other men, believed to be from the Manchester area, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and wounding, with a fifth man arrested on suspicion of wounding and public order offences.
Superintendent Sian Beck said: “This was a shocking incident in which a man has sadly died. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this extremely difficult time.
“A full investigation is underway. I would like to reassure the public not to be alarmed by the increased police activity in Rhyl as we carry out our investigations.
“There will also be extra reassurance patrols in the area.”
Police officers and paramedics had tried to resuscitate the victim at the scene.
Forensic scene of crime officers remained throughout Sunday as they painstakingly searched the area for clues.
Prince Edward Avenue remained closed tro all traffic with all side roads patrolled by police until around 2pm, although a small section of road was still taped off immediately adjacent the property where the attack place.
More than a dozen officers stood guard and there were at least six police vehicles in attendance all day.
Residents spoke of their shock with one saying the incident was “gut wrenching”.
Police have made repeated appeals for information.
Supt Beck added: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who heard or witnessed a disturbance in Prince Edward Avenue at around 3am this morning.”
