Travellers turn kids' playground into mobile launderette as they set up camp in park
Travellers have turned a North Wales country park into a mobile laundrette.
The group, who are believed to have pitched up at The Country Park in Broughton last night (Tuesday, May 17), have been spotted hanging laundry along the fencing which surrounds a children’s play area.
A spokesman for Broughton and Bretton Community Council said enforcement officers have been out to the site, which is frequented by parents and children, and the Travellers have been asked to leave by tomorrow (Thursday).
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We are working with the local authority to transfer them to a more suitable location.”
The beauty spot, which features benches, swings and slides, was developed as a community project and is popular with young children and dog walkers.
