Two teenage boys appear in court charged with Rhyl murder
Two teenage boys, both from Rhyl, have appeared in court charged with the murder of a shopkeeper.
The pair, aged 15 and 16, were in Wrexham Magistrates Court accused of killing Amarjeet Singh-Bhakar, 37, in the Prince Edward Avenue area of the Denbighshire town early on Sunday morning.
The 16-year-old is also charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They were remanded in custody and will appear at Mold Crown Court tomorrow (May 4).
Neither can be identified for legal reasons because of their age.
Five other males were also in court charged with violent disorder in relation to the same incident. One of those, a 15 year old who wept as he left court, cannot be identified.
The other four are Amar Singh, 28, of Green End Road, Manchester. He is the cousin of the murdered Amarjeet Singh-Bhakar.
Mohanjeet Singh, 18, of Kingsway, Manchester. He is the brother of the murdered man.
Sanah Ullah, 30, of Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton, Manchester and Ameer Wahid, 24, of Hardy Lane, Chorlton, Manchester.
All five were remanded in custody until June 2.
