Woman sexually assaulted on Connah's Quay coastal path
A woman was attacked and sexually assaulted while walking on Connah’s Quay coastal path.
On Monday April 24 the victim was walking on the path which runs parallel to Dee View Road in the Flintshire town.
No description has been given of the attacker but North Wales Police want to trace a potential witness who was in the area at the time.
Police have described the attack as a “serious sexual assault”.
Detective Inspector Eryl Roberts at North Wales Police said: “At this time we are unable to provide any detailed description of her assailant but we are hoping to trace a potential witness who was seen in the area at the time.
“This person is described as a white male, approximately 19 years old of medium build with mid to dark brown curly hair (described as similar in styles to ‘curtains’) which is chin length.
“He was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit and trainers.”
DI Roberts added: “We are supporting the victim through this very difficult time and for her, and for the local community’s sake we are determined to identify and arrest this man as soon as possible and so I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious person or behaviour, or indeed knows who may be responsible to contact police.”
